Our Standards:
To maintain our high standards of care, Redd’s Homecare has also developed strict and comprehensive hiring practices for our health care providers. In regulations with DC-DOH standards and licensing for Home Health Aides, nurses and Certificated Nurse Assistants
Our nurses must undergo criminal background checks, infection control guidelines, have at least 2-5 years of nursing experience and undergo a personality interview so that we can determine the compassion behind their skill.
Our home health aides (HHA) and Certificated nurse assistants CNA are held to the same highest regards with at least 6 months of on the job experience.
In the interview we assess the care giver on 4 core competencies:
Compassion
Our health practitioners must exhibit empathy for the suffering of others, including a strong desire to help.
Awareness
Our health practitioners must be well-informed about what is going on in the world and the latest developments in the health care industry.
Experience
Our health practitioners must exhibit firm knowledge and skills gained through education and being exposed to the health care setting over an extended period of time.
Professionalism
Our health practitioners must posses the skill, competence, and character expected of a member of a highly trained health care professional.
